Anthony Giovanniello founded Acupuncture Ambassadors (ACUAMB), a 501c3 non-profit, organization in 2007. His goal in doing so was to organize sustainable acupuncture training programs and treatment clinics worldwide for the care of refugees, victims of war, violence, human trafficking and the poor. His main objective was to advocate for those who had little or no access to healthcare. There are more than 30 Humanitarian Acupuncture organizations in the world, and ACUAMB acts as a liaison and advisor to these other organizations.
Through ACUAMB, Anthony liaisons with local indigenous medical practitioners worldwide to create working and respectful partnerships within the cultures he is serving. His work supports organizations focusing on issues related to a wide range of physical and emotional imbalances, including HIV/AIDS, TB, and DR-TB. Through his fieldwork, he also trains the sight-impaired in the field of acupuncture as a life vocation, which is a common practice in Asian countries. He also is developing training programs for Community Health Workers worldwide in practical, integrative medicine interventions.
Anthony has lead ACUAMB missions in Cambodia, Vietnam, Senegal West Africa, Nepal and the Navajo Nation in Arizona.
International Integrative Medicine Instructor / Trainer
Anthony teaches basic and advanced acupuncture techniques and adjunct medical modalities to medical practitioners; doctors, nurses, physician assistants, and community health workers in rural areas of developing countries. He imparts basic and advanced theoretical and practical training in wellness techniques, nutrition, and supportive lifestyles to treat the most common physical and emotional illnesses faced by patients of these rural areas. In turn, these practitioners then have a new set of tools that allows them to expand their patient treatment options.
Wellness Medicine Content Producer
As a subject matter expert with broad multi-channel production experience, Anthony also produces internet media for the promotion of Asian medicine and its integration into global healthcare. He generates content on topics that include but are not limited to multiple styles of acupuncture, Chinese and Western herbal medicine, Qi Gong, Tai Chi, massage therapy, essential oils, Ayurvedic medicine, and aromatherapy. His objective is to generate shareable content relating to integrative natural health, global healthcare, mind/body energy medicine, nutrition, and healthy lifestyles. His goal is to produce content that helps people worldwide find “balance” in their lives.
